Collage
Inspired the collage artists of the 60s, I used a wide variety of painting mediums and materials to make bold visual patterns. Combining print media, stencils, and real-world objects into textured works.
Because at some point flat paint on a flat canvas stops being enough, and you start reaching for whatever's on the shelf — if it was within arm's reach in the studio, it ended up in this one.
The sausage: Oil, acrylic, clay, ink, newspaper and a deft touch of spackle, building texture into the surface layers before any color went down.
